10.03 Jazz-musician Nils Petter Molvær at Grieg and Ciurlionis Music festival in Kaunas Nils Petter Molvær is a Norwegian trumpet player, composer and producer. He is well known for combining jazz, electronic music as well as pop, hip hop and rock music into his own unique sound, and is considered a pioneer in this genre. He is also known for his intense live shows, and has played multiple concerts all over Europe. In Kaunas he will perform at the 13th Composers E. Grieg and M. K. Ciurlionis Music Festival. This year the festival is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of restoration of Lithuania’s independence and will take place at Kaunas State Philharmonic Hall. The concert with Mr. Molvær is at 18.00 on March 10th. The Norwegian embassy covers parts of the cost related to Nils Petter Molvær’s performance.
