Akademisk Korforening is a mixed choir, founded at the University if Oslo in 1930. The choir has a varied repertoire consisting of everything from big oratorios with an orchestra, to a cappella folk music. They have given concerts all over Europe and won the first price at the Scandinavian Choral Festival in York. This year the two choirs will work together on a project where they will give new interpretations of the works of composers M.K. Čiurlionis and E.H. Grieg, concentrating on the parallels between these two artists. They will then give concerts in Oslo, Vilnius and Kaunas. The Embassy of Norway in Lithuania has contributed with financial assistance to partially fund the concerts.
